I agree and suggest citing Tillis and others’ records as examples of the failings of today’s Republican candidates.

I”d like to see our candidates up and down the ballot adopt a version of the unified message that “in the interest of ethics, honesty and effective government, Democrats good, Republicans bad.”

We can do so much better than Tillis. He keeps showing signs of doing the right thing, then poof the opportunity is gone. “A shallow man” indeed. Wiley Nickel has expressed interest in challenging him next go around. He would be a worthy successor. It’s not too early to get this going. If Tillis becomes fearful of being replaced he will try to redeem himself.

I am going to keep pushing people to get involved in all the campaigns this year. Our state Democratic Party is leading the charge with county leaders and grassroots efforts all in line. Join all of us in getting out the vote. We need all hands on deck to counter the big money in the other side and convince the unengaged to wake up.

Enjoy your holiday weekend, then get involved.

I hadn't heard that, but I agree he would be a good candidate.
