I find it intriguing that Donald Trump secured only about 58% of the vote, while Joe Biden garnered approximately 90%. If this serves as an indicator of Trump’s popularity among Republican voters, then, were I in his shoes, I’d start tidying up my affairs. The odds are better than average that he’ll lose the general election—unless Republicans can masterfully manipulate the electoral college to their advantage.

What lies ahead for Trump is a financial reckoning and an extended stay in either federal or state prison (most probably). The specifics hinge on how judges structure his sentences. Should they “box car” these sentences, Trump could find himself exposed to prison life for the remainder of his natural existence. This seems fitting, given the gravity of the crimes he’s charged with—crimes that reek of high treason against our nation. Traitors, indeed, deserve such consequences.

Once Trump exits the political stage, the MAGA movement, which romanticizes a time when white men held sway and women were relegated to inferior roles in society, will gradually fade away. His followers, who deny the Holocaust, dismiss the moon landing as a hoax, and advocate for government control over women’s personal medical decisions, will become but a minor blip in the annals of our great country’s history. 🇺🇸

Thomas thanks for a great assessment of yesterday’s fiasco. Hopefully whatever reasonable prudent NC voters will turnout in November. But that’s doubtful.
